Lefkogia is a private, traditional villa located in Lefkogia, a quiet pittoresque village close to the lively fisherman village of Plakias in the south Rethymnon.

The villa is surrounded by beautiful and spectacular mountain scenery and is located in a reasonable distance from some of Crete’s most unique beaches: the Amoudi beach (2 Km), the Skinaria beach (2 Km), the Plakias beach (3.5 Km), the Souda beach (5.5 Km), and the Preveli PALM beach (5Km).

  

The traditional environment of the fully equipped 170 sqm villa, combined with the amazing panoramic mountains view and the famous Cretan hospitality is a ideal solution for quiet and relaxing holidays away from the noise of the city and a guaranty for unforgettable holidays. Due to its location, it is an excellent starting point for excursions in the south and to the northern parts of the island.

The villa is OPEN ALL YEAR and is able to accommodate up to 6-8 persons.

In Damnoni village there are some restaurant and tavernas, mini markers and super markets while tourist shops, restaurants, fish taverns, cafeterias, super markets and bars can be reached in Plakias village, in just 4 km distance.

Rethymnon is 25 km away and the airport of Chania 85km and of Heraklion 105 km.

Inside the property

The original villa was build 120 years ago and was designed as a family house. During the complete renovation in 2008, most of the original materials were re-used and the renovation was inspired by traditional building techniques to keep the house in its authentical shape and style. Today the house offers all demanding needs and luxury standards for a comfortable stay on the south coast of Crete and is ready to comfortably accommodate 6-8 persons.

With a living area of 170 sq.m., divided over two floors, the villa offers plenty of space to live. The house is accommodated to host up to 6 persons in 3 separate bedrooms on the top floor. An additional 2 persons can sleep on the down floor, while extra beds for children can be added in the bedrooms.

  

The main entrance leads into the first floor that is very spacious and you will find a living room, the dinning room, the kitchen and 2 WC/bathrooms. The living room is air-conditioned and contains comfortable sofas for 6-8 persons, and entertainment appliances such as INTERNET connection, Satellite TV and Hi-Fi Music System. The dinning room has on open fireplace for the winter nights and a traditional dinning table for 8 persons. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the electrical appliances to provide self-catering cooking facilities for the whole party. One step next the dinning room and the kitchen, there is a large terrace balcony with amazing view of the mountains arround.

An staircase leads to the second floor of the villa, with 3 bedrooms (2 twin bedrooms, 1 single bedroom). Each bedroom is air-conditioned and two of them lead to a large balcony with furniture and panoramic view to the mountains arround.

Due to its massive walls the house will stay at comfortable temperatures even in mid summer.

The villa has many facilities such as: air-conditions, satellite TV, open fireplace, iron with ironing board, washing machine, microwave, dish washer, safe deposit box, hair dryer, first aid box, fine linens and towels etc.

On the exterior of the villa there is a 35 sq.m. very nice garden with grass, flowers and stone constructions. The competitive advantage of the villa is the large terrace balcony under a wooden pergola with chairs and tables where you can enjoy your breakfasts/meals/coffees combined with the amazing view to the Plakias mountains.

An extra utility room with barbeque exists in the exterior of the villa that you may easily use to organize a feast. Wood for the chimney is usually stored next to the house.

The whole outside area equals 125 sq.m. with an additional 25 sq.m. private parking area for your car outside the villa.
